Friends Are True Wealth

Jan 05

We’re writing this post right in the train on the way from Berlin to Warsaw, on the way to Ukraine… We went to Berlin to visit our friends, meet the New Year and a little bit on business. It was a great time! Felt like at home!:-) And our friends like our family. God fulfilled my dream: all the last 5 years I dreamt of being in Berlin with Germans for new years’ Eve… and I have never had an opportunity and visa… But this time everything worked out! I’m very happy and thankful to God.

We made 7 visits, one of the friends we visited was in the hospital. God showed us during this trip that the true wealth on this earth are friends and family. You are rich if you have friends and family. Interesting that Jesus told us a parable teaching us to get friends by using the money of this world. “And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by means of the wealth of unrighteousness…”(Lk.16:9) When we support and help people around us we make them our friends. Such an easy formula! And we never know how blessed it turns back to us in the future.

Here, I will let my precious husband to write a few words:

My dear wife is right, relationships are wealth. In fact Ive come to realize(while on this trip to Berlin) that all Christians have it in themselves to be successful business men and women. Truly successful business people try to find a need by people, and then fill it. By communicating with people we begin relationships that reveal needs and when these needs are met on a large enough scale many things happen. Physical wealth is earned as people reward you for solving/filling their needs. Long lasting and trusting relationships can be built which can be useful in the future, (almost the same as money in the bank) and almost always there is an opportunity created to talk to someone about Jesus. (Which builds your spiritual wealth in heaven. ) Think about it, when people go to Africa to dig wells and install water purifiers, they are trying to fill a need and then of course people are always more open to hearing about the Gospel.

This concept should not only be used in Africa but in your local neighborhood, nationally, and then on a worldwide level. Talk to people, listen to them, and hear about their problems and fears, when you find a common need/problem with enough people that is not being solved, fix it and you will have found the secret to building wealth on earth as well as wealth in heaven.
